Jim Binder, MD
Jim Binder is a retired family-centered pediatrician and child psychiatrist. He now specializes in couple therapy. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and completed residencies at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and West Virginia University - Charleston Division. For over 20 years, he received advanced training treating couples and families from The Southeast Institute for Group and Family Therapy and The Couple Institute, created by Peter Pearson and Ellyn Bader.
Jim continues to seek advanced supervision to better help couples. His unique background is especially helpful when couples are struggling with agreement on parenting issues or coming to terms with a medical condition in one of the partners or their child.
Jim has been married to Susan for 45 years and has three grown children.

Jim requests that each partner participating in couple’s counseling fill out the couple questionnaire. In addition, each person is asked to complete the new client forms and to bring all the forms to the first session.
